‘Domisoldo’ by PCNW is the final part of a trilogy by Belgian icon Paul Couter
that one might describe as his musical memoires. The consistent triptych is a pure culmination of Paul’s numerous wanderings and lifetime experiences. Although every single record of the trilogy seems to have a completely different sound , the characteristic voice and poetic beatnik qualities of Paul run like a red thread through the whole piece of art. ‘A Yellow Tape Trilogy’ is a coherent body of work. Not by accident: Peter van de Veire (Yellow Tape Studio) was the engineer during all the recording sessions.
The first part ‘A Yellow Tape Recording’ (SMT-001) was released in 2015, followed by ‘Paspeur’ (SMT-005) in 2016. It was Paul’s dying wish to see the trilogy completed and succeeded to do so in the last days of his live. At the time of this writing Paul Couter is residing at the palliative care unit of the hospital in Ghent, the Belgian city where he spent the second half of his live.
‘A Yellow Tape Trilogy’ is a private affair in a dusky city while Paul Couter is on a roll with his blues fanfare. These are twilight lamp recordings. “Je n’ai pas peur d’attendre mon amour est plus fort que la mort” (I don’t fear waiting my love is stronger than death). The songs on the new album are totally unknown, ferocious meetings with fatal open endings. Urban music on small sunlit squares in the countryside: that kind of stuff. Love, nonsense and other noteworthy items feature on the thee albums. A secret history, ready to be revealed. Quite the same vibe of an area in which Paul and Arno joined forces in the band FreckleFace (’72-’75) and formed the legendary duo Tjens-Couter (’75-’80) afterwards.

I have been beating around the bush for some time now with this band.
Now I realise it was my own pride that resisted the purchase; This band is greater than I..... This band knows exactly what I like, it feels already what I want to feel in music. I just wasn't ready yet to meet them. I should have trusted this fantastic label. The title of the album says it all......... PlayItLoud!
British folk musician Tom Nash built these delicate and moving songs around a broken harmonium, allowing its limitations to open up worlds. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 12, 2021
The posthumous record by the legendary Tony Joe White is full of rugged, smoky blues & Americana, culled from a trove of demos. Bandcamp New & Notable May 10, 2021

Sheer genius musical creativity, based on waste, offers food for laughing and crying at the same time. Worth a million, for just a finders fee. PlayItLoud!
