Paul Decoutere aka Paul Couter, born in Zeebrugge (BE), is the C in TC Matic. He has always been a huge blues fan and was hanging around in Ostend in the Seventies. Located just at the other end of the Channal you could literally feel the influence of London and the British music scene.
His hero was a guitar-pickin’ Russian immigrant named Jean Philipov. Couter played together with Arno Hintjens in the bands FreckleFace (1972-1975) en Tjens Couter (1975-1980).
In 1980 they went their seperate ways. Arno formed the band TC Matic and Couter started playing solo. Couter never stopped playing music and has been performing in intimite circles and small bars ever since. His solo CD’s ‘Say Nomore’ and ‘Seven Seas’ are a rare find.
PCNW is a project with his long time friends Patrick Deneve & Wim Heymans. Finally, after countless live shows, there is a first full album recorded by Peter van de Veire at his fully analog Yellow Tape Recording Studio.
